Part One

It’s usually recognized as football or soccer and is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players using a round ball. It is the most popular sport in the world.

The game is always played on a rectangular grass or non-natural lawn field. It played with a goal in the centre of each of the short ends. The purpose of the game is to score through pouring the ball into the opposing goal. Goalkeepers are the only players who allowed to use their hands or arms to proper the ball but the rest of the team usually use their feet to kick the ball into position.

The modern game was codified in England following the formation of The Football Association and 1983 Laws of the Game created the foundations for the way the sport is played today. Football is governed internationally by the Federation Internationale de Football Association and generally known by the acronym FIFA. The most esteemed international football competition is the FIFA World Cup which one held every four years.

Standard pitch measurements. Not all pitches are the same size, though 105m (115yd) by 68m (74yd) is the preferred size for many professional teams' stadiums with other pitches' size a slight variation.
