Preparations for the tournament

For the World Cup tournament, five new stadiums have been built and five of the existing venues are to be promoted.

As well as the stadiums have been built and upgraded, South Africa is also planning to improve its current public transport communications within the various cities. It is with projects such as the Gautrain and the new Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT) titled Rea Vaya. The president of the World Cup 2010, Danny Jordaan, organizing committee has said to expect all stadiums for the tournament to be completed by Octorber 2009.

The country is also going to execute some special measures for ensuring the safety and security of local and international tourists those are attending the matches in line with standard FIFA requirements plus a momentary check of flight operation in the airspace surrounding the stadiums.

FIFA has rated the readiness of South Africa at eight on a scale of 10 with the hope so that they likely utterly ready before the matches actually start and before that the readiness of this African nation to host one of the biggest events in the sports which is worshiped by millions and it has received positive response from FIFA.
