Pele crafted a list of Olympic greats together with Muhammad Ali and Carl Lewis into alleging the award.

Lausanne, Switzerland – The world’s NOC (National Olympics Committees had voted Brazilian soccer stat Pele because he was no. 1 in their top five Athletes of the Century although he was the only one of the five and didn’t take part in the Olympics.

Behind Pele come Muhammad Ali was won the Olympic light-heavyweight boxing in 1960 but before becoming a heavyweight megastar as a pro. Carl Lewis was won nine athletics gold medals in four games among 1984 – 96. Michael Jordan, a basketball star, won “Dream Team” gold medalists in 1992 that was among the United States. Mark Spitz was won seven swimming titles at the 1972 games at Munich.

The NOC had become listed to all the top five leaders in sport by Baron Pierre de Coubertin. The architect of the modern Olympics and International Olympic Committee president from 1896-1925, while no. 1 further on current IOC president Juan Antonic Samaranch who had held the place since 1980.

Ex- FIFA president Joao Havelange, third further on Primo Nebiolo, was president of the International Amateur Athletic Federation for 18 years until his death last month.
