Match Ball


FIFA World Cup 2010 match ball is manufactured by Adidas and it will be named the Jabulani which means “bringing joy to everyone” in isiZulu. The eleven number match plays a high up role in the new scientifically advanced ball. It is the eleventh World Cup match ball which is made by German sports equipment maker and it features eleven colors. The ball will be one for each player on the pitch and there are eleven official languages in South Africa. The incident will be started on the eleventh day of June and it will end on the eleventh day of July. A special match ball with gold panels will be used at the final game in Johannesburg.

The ball was also used of the FIFA Club World Cup 2009 in the United Arab Emirates and the Jabulani Angola, a special verson, was the match ball of the 2010 African Cup of Nations. This ball was also used in the season of South Africa’s Premier Soccer League 2009/2010 and the country’s Nedbank Cup 2010, Clausura Tournament of Argentina 2010 and the MLS season 2010 in the USA in the league’s colors of blue and green.

This ball is made by using a new design, consisting of eight thermally-bonded, three-dimensional panels. These are spherically- molded from ethylene-vinyl acetate and thermoplastic polyurethane. The shell of the ball is textured with grooves, a technology developed by Adidas called GripnGroove which is intended to get better the ball’s aerodynamics. The design has received from Loughborough University, United Kingdom.

The balls are made in China to use in latex bladder which is made in India. Thermoplastic polyurethane-elastomer made from Taiwan and ethylene vinyl acetate, isotropic polyester cotton fabric, glue and ink was from in China.
