World Cup Football - 2010

2010 FIFA World Cup is the premier international football tournament which will be the 19^th FIFA World Cup and is scheduled to occur between 11 June and 11 July in South Africa. It will be the finale of a qualification procedure which had begun in August 2007 and involved 204 of the 208 FIFA national teams.

It will be the first time tournament to be hosted by an African nation and later than South Africa beat Morocco and Egypt in an all African behest procedure. The decision was taken by the Oceania Football Confederation because it was the only confederation yet to host the FIFA World Cup. The defending champions are Italy. The last but not least, the draw for the finals took place on 4^th December 2009 in Cape Town.
